Paragon Laundry invest in Industore's warehouse solutions to save space at their new
facility in Ross-on-Wye.
History
Vertical Storage at Paragon LaundryParagon Laundry was established in 1918; their range of services through the years has benefited from a programme of continuous development which has resulted in market leadership.
Due to unprecedented growth in their occasional linen business, Paragon has invested heavily in a new state of the art laundry facility in Ross-on-Wye, utilising the latest technology and energy/cost efficient equipment to cope with their current business demands.
The Solution
Having already purchased a Hänel Lean Lift from Industore to solve their storage needs at the Cheltenham facility, Paragon was familiar with the floor space savings and reliability of the system. Paragon were also very interested in investigating how other Industore customers had integrated the picking system with their host computer network to increase speed and improve accuracy.
After conducting a site survey and discussing the customer's requirements in more depth, Industore specified two Lean lifts at 7.5m in order to utilise the total available headroom at this purpose built facility.
The main objective of this project was to store a vast quantity of occasional linen, bundled in predetermined quantities that could be easily identified and picked ready for dispatch in the quickest and most cost effective manner.
Mr Keith Field, Production Director commented that "Having already purchased a Lean Lift 12 months prior to the new factory opening in Ross-on-Wye, we were well aware of the efficiencies the Lean Lift could bring our business. Our objective was to store all of our occasional linen off the factory floor and to utilise the full height of our building.
