The goal of continually optimizing the energy efficiency of the Hänel storage systems is a challenge we embrace every day.
As early as 2008, Hänel unveiled an EcoDrive® version of the Hänel Lean-Lift® at the CeMAT trade show. In this version a frequency converter is used to turn the energy of the descending extractor back into electrical energy which is returned to the power supply network. This enables up to 40% of the input energy to be recovered, depending on the rate of travel.
